We are not competent to give medical advices. Information on health risks and precautions may be found in English language on World Health Organization's website.
We confine to giving some information of our experience of caring for guests:
The slogan "Peel it, cook it or forget it" describes shortly the appropriate behaviour for eating and drinking in a foreign country. Raw salads, mayonnaise, unpeeled fruit should be avoided. Tap water is taboo, even when brushing the teeth. Drinking water in sealed bottles is available in Phuket for less money. Watch the seal to be not damaged and have the bottle of beer opened at your table.
Most components of the Thai kitchen are cooked or steamed. Their choice is nearly endless. So you will never have a problem in avoiding raw food. |
